Hunkered Down in Stratford for an Art Festival at the Shakespeare Grounds. Great Day.

It was a great stage day as we went to the Shakespeare grounds to hear Leo and his friends sing songs from The Shakespeare Ghosts by Stratford's very own Kevin Williams and Peter Demarco. Leo sang the part of Christopher Walken for the Arts and Cultural fest. Following their performance, Javier Colon - winner of The Voice in 2017. He was joined by Syndee Winters who played Angelica Schyler in Hamilton. I didn't know the winner of The Voice resided in Stratford before his fame. It was wonderful to see and learn the connection.

I've always loved that this English major lives in Stratford, Connecticut, and easily made the Stratford-Upon-Avon connection (having visited the Bard's stomping grounds in a semester in England). It is also great to know there used to be a thriving Shakespeare theater here, although the facility went unused for several years and then recently was burned to the ground by teenage hoodlums. Locals are trying to bring the venue back, bigger and better. It seems to be a natural fit to help them if and where I can.

At night, we took Noelle out to eat and I had an incredible gorganzola sword fish meal (one for the record books).

But today is Sunday and my brain needs to get back tot he grind. There's a career to continue and many items on the docket. The sneezing and stuffed head from ragweed needs to move over for a caffeinated day for writing, reading and grant proposals.

And we need to find a Bon Jovi, Phish or Grateful Dead concert for Kaitlyn and her new headband crafted by relocated refugee women from Africa who reside in Bridgeport (the best art booth at the festival).

Happy Holy Day, World.
