Yesterday, I met with Cody and Alex, two librarians behind this year's Saugatuck StoryFest '19 in preparation of a 3-day event at the Westport Public Library.
The Writers Are Coming! The Writers Are Coming!
I'm thrilled to promote the authors throughout the Connecticut and National Writing Project Network, and celebrate this event with students, teachers, authors and community liaisons. We couldn't have a better venue, and the Westport Public Library is a state-of-the-art facility, indeed.
I simply can't wait.
I was able to get a sneak-peak at the official program and know there are surprises, expertise, passions and creativity that will appeal to so many writing-minded folk throughout the State.
Absent today were Rebecca Marsick and Kim Herzog, two incredible educators from Westport Public Schools, who have been working tirelessly, like Cody and Alex, to make the 2nd year of this even even better.
Also missing was our youth advisory board who have been behind the scenes suggesting writers, talking up the festival with friends and doing a social media blitz.
There's nothing I can write here that can compare to the display showcased on the official Saugatuck StoryFest '19 website.
I can't wait for Monster Songs, the panels, the special guests and the wisdom. Here's to the next couple of weeks and a round of applause for the amazing efforts and coordination occurring along the Saugatuck River.
These are special times and I'm so excited to be a part of it!
